Toys at Lolla: Pointless Crap People Bring Into the Park

Beyond the usual toys that people bring to Lollapalooza, the beach balls, hula hoops and bubbles, I spotted a few more unique novelties to make playtime more enjoyable during the three days of rain, heat and music.

Plastic lawn owl on stick at Bassnectar on Perry’s Stage – useful to rage with and to find your friends:

Plastic baby doll with paint on it’s face – serving as hypothetical child and raging partner at Perry’s Stage for Kaskade.  This couple introduced me to their baby who was there celebrating it’s 7th month birthday.  The “mother” told me the child’s future lay in music, she was going to attend Juliard, so the “parents” wanted to make sure she was exposed to music at a young age.

More elongated objects to help find your friends – hippie kids are funny, walk tall, carry a big stick.

The toy fairy – whistle, wings, tutu dress and beads - I found this little fairy at the VIP entrance on the side of the Playstation Stage.  I tried to post there to get away from the crowds waiting for Santigold.  She was volunteering her time to direct people without special wristbands (like myself and herself) to leave that area and let the VIPs through
